A 0.5-cm and 1.0-cm transverse incision are made in the posterior axillary line inferior to the 12th rib and in the anterior axillary line inferior to the 12th rib tip, respectively. Three ports are established. The distance is 6–8 cm between the 2 subcostal operating ports, facilitating the connection of the 2 ports during kidney extraction and controlling incision length.
